On a day-to-day basis, this role is responsible for delivering and coordinating all human resources activities and initiatives with a strong emphasis on recruiting and hiring. Responsibilities

  • With a hands-on approach, implements, simplifies and administers HR processes and programs
  • Leads job sourcing and hiring initiatives, including job descriptions
  • Ensures all steps in the recruitment process are complete, compliant and documented in a timely manner
  • Remains up-to-date on relevant local, state and federal employment laws and other HR compliance issues
  • Possesses a general understanding of employment law, diversity and EEOC compliance
  • Coordinates pre-employment surveys, testing and background checks
  • When needed, serves as back-up for Payroll processing
  • Actively leads and/or assists with on-boarding and orientation of new employees
  • Writes policy and maintains and updates Employee Handbook
  • Plays lead role in implementing and delivering "Building Relationships" program company wide
  • Tracks and ensures employee licenses are current
  • Meets with managers and employees to process terminations, including exit interviews and collecting Company property
  • Follows and maintains strict confidentiality in all HR and Payroll matters
  • Provides additional support to other areas of the business as needed
  • Performs other HR related tasks and projects as are routinely associated with an HR generalist role

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive HR generalist experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business strongly preferred
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills and easily learns HR or ATS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with and strong attention to detail
  • Models positive leadership and workplace culture through effective management and communication practices
  • Multi-tasks with ease and has a sense of urgency
